Worked well but sadly let down by flimsy manufacturing quality.
Worked well for a while, and coffee flavour was a big improvement on the paper filters supplied with the Aeropress. However, despite careful handling the mesh has now detached from the frame and the filter rendered useless.

Very disappointed in the quality for a premium priced product.

Domestic Corner's Stainless Steel AeroPress® Coffee Filter

was designed and created with the highest quality material to ensure the longest lifespan and highest quality results while brewing with the AeroPress® Coffee and Espresso Maker. This device allows more oils to bypass the filter creating a fuller bodied cup of coffee or espresso when using the AeroPress®.

How to Use:
-Wash thoroughly before first use using soap and warm water.
-Ensure Stainless Steel Filter fits securely in your AeroPress® Device. *It should be a very snug fit*
-After brewing, rinse your Filter under warm running water.
-Repeat.

Paper filters hold and trap essential oil and flavors from the coffee grounds and add an element of paper taste to your coffee. The Stainless Steel Filter allows all oils and flavors to fully bypass the filter while still eliminating any grounds and grit from entering your cup. Pair the best selling Coffee Press with the best Stainless Steel Filter for the highest quality cup of coffee you can make.

I wish it was better, because I hate the waste of disposable filters
With this filter, the grounds were able to escape the sides of the aeropress so I had to use a paper filter anyways. I wish it was better, because I hate the waste of disposable filters.
Good Alternative to AeroPress Paper Filter
Excellent product when you don't want to use a paper filter for the AeroPress filter. Filter fit perfectly without the need to "tighten" the seal. Filter eliminated all grounds and only a slight amount of residue collected at the bottom of the cup, but no "sheen" on the coffee surface. I highly recommend this product. However, durability is unknown as I have only used it less than 12 times so far, but appears to be of high quality if you handle it gently to install, clean, and store.

Very Good Purchase
This filter works well with the AeroPress. The coffee flavor is good, the filter is easy to clean and store, and I like not having to add the paper filter to the wastebasket every day. The outside rim of the filter is slightly thicker than a paper filter so the mesh plastic cap that holds it is a somewhat tighter fit. That isn't a problem, however, I just mention it because I have seen other reviews that complained of the thickness of stainless steel filters.

The Stainless Aeropress Filter by Warren River Coffee is designed to fit your Aeropress Coffee and Espresso Maker for consistent, great tasting coffee every time! Using the directions that came with your Aeropress is a great place to start. Here is what we have found to be our favorite way to a great cup of coffee: Put two scoops (use the Aeropress scoop) of your favorite whole bean coffee into your favorite grinder. Almost any grinder will do, as long as the grind is consistent. We prefer a grind about the consistency of granular sugar. With your Stainless Aeropress Filter in place, dump in your fresh ground coffee. Fill hot water (about 185 °F) up to the number 2. Stir for about 10-15 seconds. Now press it, but be gentle, too much pressure will compress the grounds into a hockey puck that won't let any coffee through! You now have a double espresso! Some like it as such, or add 5 oz. of hot water for a great americano. Assuming you have great coffee beans to start with (you need great coffee beans for great coffee), there are two factors that will vary the results: the grind, and the brew time. In general, a finer grind wants a quicker brew time, and a courser grind can be brewed longer. If your coffee is bitter use the same grind and brew for a shorter time. If your coffee is weak, try a finer grind with the same brew time. Making a great cup of coffee isn't chance, a recipe will help you make it the same every time. Start with our recipe above, then adjust it to create your own. When you've perfected it, follow it every time! Tell us how you make your perfect cup in your review, or ask a question and we'll be glad to respond! Buy the filter now, you won't be disappointed!
I love my Aeropress
I love my Aeropress, and this permanent filter makes it even more lovable. The paper filters tend to leak a bit, but this one doesn't. It arrived very fast and I've enjoyed it.

The aeropress is a completely new kind of coffee press that brews absolutely delicious, rich coffee without bitterness. In one minute, the aeropress will make 1 to 4 cups of american or espresso style coffee. Coffee brewed in an aeropress is rich but smooth for good technical reasons. The first and most important reason is brewing speed. Coffee yields its rich flavors quickly. From when you add hot water to when you are ready to drink, the aeropress takes about 30 seconds, just like a fine espresso machine. The time required to fill a drip coffee maker pot or the steeping time required for a traditional coffee press is measured in minutes, not seconds, and because of that, they brew bitter, acidic coffee. When brewing coffee with an aeropress, you use very hot but not boiling water, you use finely ground coffee, and the filter prevents any grit from getting into your cup, all of which are additional important reasons aeropress brewed coffee is so remarkably delicious. Fast and convenient, the aeropress coffee and espresso maker makes one of the best cups of coffee you'll ever taste. This innovative uses the ideal water temperature and gentle air pressure brewing to produce coffee and espresso that has rich flavor with lower acidity and without bitterness. It makes 1 to 4 cups of coffee or espresso, enough for 1 or 2 mugs, features a micro filtered for grit free coffee, and takes just 1 minute to make coffee, actual press time takes only 20 seconds. Excellent coffee maker!
This is a great coffee maker - especially for someone like me who wants to make only 1 mug at a time. I've tried all different kinds of coffee makers, but they don't seem to be optimized for making a single ~8 oz mug of coffee. I always ended up brewing multiple cups of coffee and throwing the extra away to get the one good cup I wanted.

I got this aeropress for Christmas 2006 and it is great. I followed the initial instructions, but preferred my coffee a bit different. So, I experimented with grind, water temperature, amount of coffee/water, etc., until I found the right combination for *my* personal preference. I use this to make a cup of coffee, not espresso (that is, I add water to the result to get "regular" coffee), so I can't comment on the quality of espresso taste. I have noticed that coffee beans/grind from different sources have their own "sweet spots" for best grind and coffee/water quantity to get the taste I prefer. So, now that I know how I like to brew a...

You can combine cold brew methods with this excelent device
I have had my AeroPress about a year or more now. I bought mine to use at work and bought a second one for home. It is very soundly made, the only thing you need to watch out for is to be sure you use a sturdy, squat cup, not a tall thin cup, or you may tip it when pressing the brew out. It took some experimentation, but I would like to share what I have found.

Temperature, the amount of water, and the brew time all affect the result. Surprisingly, I believe the amount of water is the most critical with temperature being second. I have combined the use of my AeroPress with the idea of the recent popularity of cold brewing by using water that is only warm (about 150 deg F) and not more than about 2 ounces of water per scoop of coffee. (2 oz is about what the AeroPress is marked to allow per cup) I allow it to brew about 40 to 60 seconds, stirring the whole time before pressing out what is left. This may seem like a long time to French press users, but since so little...

The AeroPress is an entirely new way to make coffee, American style or Espresso style for use in lattes, cappucinos and other espresso based drinks. AeroPress brews simply delicious coffee, 1-4 cups per pressing. Ideal water temperature and faster brewing yields rich flavor with lower acidity and without bitterness. Other brewing processes use near boiling water and long exposure to coffee grounds. Quickly brew a variety of coffee drinks including an Americano or an espresso-style shot for use in lattes or cappuccinos. Its total-immersion system permits extraction at a moderate temperature and a short brew time. Water and grounds are mixed together for 10 seconds, then gentle air pressure pushes the mix through a micro-filter in just 20 seconds, which avoids the bitterness of long processes such as drip brewing. The air pressure also gently squeezes the last goodness from the grounds, further enriching the flavor. The total brewing time of only 30 seconds results in an exceptionally smooth brew.
I like it...a lot...and here's why...
If you're the kind of person who wants to push a button and wait a few seconds for your coffee, I suggest a Keurig or Tassimo. You'll get consistent, if unremarkable results every time. If you're of a more "experimental" nature, you can have a lot of fun with the Aeropress. To get a good baseline, I started out by following the instructions as closely as possible. I used a medium-fine coffee grind and was able to get the water to the recommended temperature by microwaving one cup for two minutes. The result was a strong, dark expresso like coffee. Don't be misled by the small amount in the bottom of the cup, it's VERY strong. I diluted mine with hot water and added milk and I must say, I was very impressed with the results. Afterward, the Aeropress was a snap to clean. It appears to be very well made and I think it will last a long time with just a reasonable amount of care. If you decide to try one, I don't think you'll be disappointed. Thanks for taking the time to read my review.

Which filter to get? Now you know
I've been using the Aero Press for about a year with the paper filters it came with. Now that they are almost gone, I decided to buy a reusable filter. I read many reviews and based on them two of the best filters seemed to be the Slimm Filter and the Coffee Nebula. I decided to buy both and do a side by side comparison. They are very different but both earn a 5 star rating from me. Hopefully I can articulate the differences for the buyer so they can make an informed decision.

First, a word about how I make coffee and why, which has a relevance to the first point of differentiation, coffee sludge at the bottom of the mug. I heard the inventor of the Aero Press give a talk about making coffee. Basically, as long as you have clean equipment and water, the next most crucial thing is the temperature of the water. He said above 175F, more of the bitter oils are released from the grind making a more bitter morning brew. Keeping the water between 165-175 makes wonderful coffee...

It is time to upgrade your paper Aeropress filters

Use our stainless steel Aeropress coffee filters and you will never have to throw away paper filters again. Along with less waste, you will not have to worry about reordering more paper filters after running out of the standard paper filters which means you never will be without wonderfully tasting coffee.

Easy to Clean

We all know that with guests or other family members around, you cannot make only one cup of delicious Aeropress Coffee. You do not have to worry with this easy to clean reusable coffee filter. All you need to do is rinse off the filter with water and voila, you have a clean filter to be used again and again.

Amazing Coffee Taste!

Since stainless steel does not create flavor and will not take away any flavoring from your coffee, you will be able to understand the amazing intricacies of your roasted coffee. How does a light roast compare to that oil rich dark roast that you have? Ever wonder what an extra 25 seconds of brew time or 10 seconds less than your normal brew time does to your coffee? Well now you can really understand how that will affect the flavor and texture of your coffee.

It is time up your game! Buy a Coffee Nebula Aeropress Coffee Filter and be amazed by your new and improved skills at making coffee!
Looking for a stainless steel AeroPress filter? Can't beat this one.
Disclaimer: I received a heavily discounted sample of this product in exchange for a fair and honest product review.

That I received this product at a big discount has nothing to do with my five star rating. Having tried this, I would buy it again for up to twice the price as it's currently being sold for. This is a great filter at a great price!

Unlike some other stainless steel AeroPress filters sold here on Amazon, the EPIC filter is made of a single, thin piece of stainless steel with beveled edges (the edges aren't sharp!) and holes drilled. It is not a mesh filter! Because it is a single solid piece and the holes are so small, it feels very durable in the hand. With my mesh AeroPress filter, I'm constantly worried I'll break the thing if I drop it or something. Not with this. The design very much promotes durability.

I was a little concerned before my first use that the small holes might not be enough to allow water to flow readily through the...
Perfect
I wondered how using a stainless steel filter in my AeroPress would work compared to using standard paper AeroPress filters. I wondered if there'd be an sediment, such as there is with French Press coffee, and if the use of a stainless filter would affect the taste, and if so how.

My conclusion is that I may never use paper filters in my AeroPress again.

With this stainless filter there's no sediment at all, and I've used a very fine grind from a burr grinder.

The filter is a PERFECT fit for the part of the AeroPress that holds filters. This isn't always the case with paper filters, especially those I've reused after rinsing. The nature of the AeroPress is such that some leaking around the perimeter of the filter is inevitable, and this is accounted for in the AeroPress user manual, but the Epic seems to make for a tighter fit with less leaking than paper filters.

Is the taste better? Smoother? It's undeniably as good as with paper filters...

Makes a delicious cup of coffee!
This concept is similar to a French press, only there are optional paper filters that can be used. I've made coffee both with and without the paper filter and found I prefer the flavor with the paper filter.

Here's how I make a cup of coffee:
Start heating the water to boiling.
Add the stainless and paper filters and screw the filter assembly onto the tube.
Add coffee to the tube. You'll need to experiment to find the amount of coffee that makes your perfect cup. I use a little less than one scoop. It uses more coffee than a press or drip.
Place the Aeropress on the coffee mug.
Have the stirrer ready and add water to line 2. Don't use all the water. Less water through the ground beans results in less bitterness.
It will start dripping, so quickly stir and place the plunger in the tube and slowly press until it reaches the bottom.
Use the remaining hot water to dilute the strong coffee.
Remove the filter cap. Hold the Aeropress...

The Aeropress is great for those of us that like full bodied coffee
I ran across the Aeropress only because I am familiar with the Aerobie flying disc, and I find both to be elegantly engineered. The Aeropress is great for those of us that like full bodied coffee, but without the acid levels resulting from most brewing methods. Even my Keurig cannot make as smooth a brew without the stomach churning acid that I can make with my Aeropress using the same ground coffee (Kona).
Unexpected filter size
The Aeropress is great. The metal filters bundled with it require a finer grind than is standard for pre-ground coffee, so if you're not grinding your own beans this is not a good deal--better to get it unbundled with a different brand metal filter.

A metal filter that holds up to a skeptic of metal filters
I make a lot of coffee in the Aeropress. If my doctor found out, he’d probably tell me I should cut back a bit. But I’m not addicted, I can quit any time. Or at least that’s what I tell my family.

One of the potential downsides to making as much coffee in the Aeropress as I do is the cost of the filters. It in and of itself isn’t a huge cost out of pocket, even for the number of filters a day I go through, but there’s but the out of pocket costs, the storage of filters, the thought of how much waste it generates per year - all costs associated with using one-time only filters.

I will say that I’ve not been a huge fan of metal filters in the past. In fact if I had not got a discount on this filter in exchange for an honest review, I’m not sure that I would have bought one due to bad experiences in the past. They either are not strong enough to stand up to repeated daily use, or they are so porous I end up with muddy silt...

Save a lot of money by using these filters.
I really like this Reusable Stainless Steel Aeropress metal Coffee filter by Artisan Barista. I really perfer these stainless steel filter over paper filter. Because unlike the traditional paper filters, Aeropress Coffee Filter lets all the oils in your coffee beans through. The result is a much richer, fuller tasting coffee. This way is also recommended by many coffee enthusiasts and experts. Another great thing is that i don't have to buy the paper filter again and again. I can use these Aeropress Coffee Filter over and over. This sure will save a lot of money in long run, because i really am a heavy coffee drinker. The filter is very easy to clean. I just rinse the Coffee Filter under the tap for a few seconds. The grinds simply wash off it just like that. Futhermore this Stainless Steel Aeropress metal Coffee filter has so tiny holes that coffee grinds can not get through them or block them. That is really great, there is no grit in my cup, ever.

<>Now for...
Saved money + reduced waste and lessened carbon footprint + easy use = beautiful
I will never buy another paper filter for any coffee maker again. As a longtime coffee maker and lover, I can't begin to imagine how many of these sturdy metal filters I could have bought when this is designed to last forever. I'm on a frugal budget, and I'm trying to be more environmentally conscious in my choices. I also hate things to be more complicated than they have to be, and this is incredibly easy to use. I've also noticed a more savory taste in my brew since making the switch (this can't be coincidence), and I don't have to worry about the nasty texture of coffee grounds from a failed coffee filter. I made the right choice purchasing this at a discount in exchange for an honest, unbiased review. Buy the filter. You won't regret making the choice!

Fantastic filter. Usually product descriptions trump up the product to make it sound more amazing than it actually is.

Well, this product is ON POINT.

+ Disk fits under cap: yes it does, doesn't twist as far as paper, but it is a snug fit that I won't lose sleep over.
+ Ultrafine mesh: It actually is amazing they can produce such a uniform, fine, stainless steel mesh. I feel like I'm living in the future.
+ Cleans easily without gumming up: Again, boggled at the accuracy of this statement, and how well it works. When it comes off, a half cm of grinds is what sticks to the filter on the grounds side. A light rinse is all it takes and I stick it on a drying mat or paper towel to dry. If I'm feeling fancy I will use a small amount of dish soap to get rid of accumulated oils, which doesn't seem to happen so much.
+ Dishwasher safe: Umm sure, but why would you? It is less effort to run it under some water, unless you soaked it in bacon grease for some...

I couldn't be happier
I have been an Aero Press user for several years. I keep dabbling with other ways to make my coffee but always come back to Aero Press. One downside is that my press would often spray horizontal and leak down the side of the cup. It seemed like an issue with the seal of the filter. I purchased this filter as an experiment in getting better tasting coffee (which I did) but noticed that the leak problem has completely disappeared.

As for the taste, I was a little concerned that I would get more sediment in my coffee. There is actually none whatsoever. I couldn't be happier! The flavor is richer than it was with the paper filter.

The only downside is the fact that I have mindlessly expelled the new filter into the trash can twice (so far). I have to stop and think before ejecting the grounds. I open the cap and slide the filter off horizontally, scraping off the fine sediment in the process. I then expel the puck like normal and rinse everything for storage. Cleanup...
The Perfect Replacement for my Aeropress Filter!
I was in need of a new filter for my Aeropress after my much used one started to wear out. I can't start my morning without a cup of coffee, so having a functioning Aeropress is important to me. The stainless steel Aeropress coffee filter was a perfect replacement and allowed me to get back to easiliy pressing delicious coffee without hassle. I could not be happier with this replacement filter and the quality stainless steel it is made from. It is sure to last just as long, if not longer than the original. I highly recommend this product for anyone needing to replace their worn out or dingy filter.

I don't drink coffee so had no personal need for this. But- my live/in boyfriend loves his Aeropress, so when I was offered this at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review, I got this filter for him.

He was very excited about receiving it. He said he'd been looking for some time, but he could never get the fit just right. He said that this one was perfect and urged me to add it to my wish list for when he needs another. He's very happy with his new filter, and as such- I certainly recommend this to others!

But it allows the hot water to travel through your coffee grounds (no matter how fine they are ground)
I've tried them all. This is the ONLY permanent filter for the Aeropress that does not become clogged over time. I'm stumped how they've done it. You can not see through this filter even with a magnifying lens and bright light. But it allows the hot water to travel through your coffee grounds (no matter how fine they are ground), is easily removed from the spent puck (sometimes it releases itself), and only requires a light rinse of water to clean. Just get it.
