If you're looking for this filter, chances are its for the LINKS Hoover vacuum. I ended up washing the OEM filter and it began to smell really bad. I was hesitant on buying this one because one of the other reviewers had mentioned that it did not include the "plastic mesh" that was on the stock filter. I decided $6 was worth risking it. When I received it, it DID have the plasticy mesh thing and it was very similar to the OEM Hoover filter. Really can't tell the difference except the fact it has little pictures of faucets on it. Lets face it, the Hoover OEM is a foam filter with a plasticy mesh on one side. The product I received is also a foam filter with a plasticy mesh on one side. I don't think you'll be too disappointed in buying this when comparing to the OEM.

To remove your filter, simply remove the dirt cup from the back of the cleaner by pressing the grey button located on top of the dirt cup, once dirt cup is out of the cleaner, remove the black cap that houses the filter, remove the filter and replace. Because these filters are washable you can remove the filter the same way and tap over a garbage can to remove loose dirt and debris and wash with water until it is clean. Note: Do not operate cleaner without filter and do not operate cleaner with a wet or damp filter. Please ensure filter is completely dry before replacing, we recommend drying for 24-48 hours.
