The filter I received did work on the newest 16 gallon Shop Vac, but it was a really tight fit.

It would have been a major task with the other filter. The Shopvac 905-85-1 Foam Filter Sleeves are less expensive than the other filters. When they get too gross or filthy, just toss and replace it.
