I am very happy with this kettle
I am very happy with this kettle, especially for the price.

Here are a few things to note that I wasn't able to figure out in advance, in no particular order:

This is a 1.7 liter (7 cup) kettle. You cannot boil 10 cups in this kettle. The box says 10 cups and it will physically hold 10 cups, if you fill it to the brim, but the max fill line is 1.7L, and that's 7 cups. See my picture for confirmation.

The walls are glass and the bottom is metal. There is a silicone (probably) gasket between them. The LED strip is outside the container, under a lip in the glass. The lid is plastic and the screen is a metal mesh.

The lid flips open easily at the touch of the button. It opens to about vertical (pictured). The opening is big enough to get my (large-ish) hand in to clean without much trouble.

It looked quite nice, and I was excited to try
I received this by mail today. It looked quite nice, and I was excited to try. I carefully read the instruction manual provided, which states "Before using the kettle for the first time, fill the kettle with cold water and boil it twice without any additives." Well, after the very first boil, the bottom inside got rusty! Please see the attached photos - the rust looks much clearer in person, but you can certainly tell that from my photos. When it boils, I saw air bubbles around those round-shaped rust specks. Surely it's defective; I'll request a refund.
