But being I got a discount in exchange for my review I was letting that part go, opened it up, poured the cup of water in and some essential oil and put it back together, turned it on and it starting puffing away, went to the front door came back and the blue light was blicking and it was not puffing anymore. Opened it up and it wasnt doing anything, then all of a sudden it started again, so started to put the first lid on, and realized that the smoke cant get throught the hole. looked and looked to make sure I was doing it correclty and I was, there is no way to put it on wrong, but it will not work.. I love having essential oil diffusers I love having essential oil diffusers, and this one is no different. It runs for about 8 to 12 hours depending on the amount of water you put in it. It has a feature to keep the colors changing or keep them the same, and it automatically will shut off. With small children in school they have brought home colds and this has helped with congestion. I just put in my favorite essential oil (usually eucalyptus or peppermint) and it releases it into the air. I am very happy with this diffuser.
