We have a Kenmore Side by Side refrigerator that uses a standard Kenmore Premium Filter #9890 and these filters worked just fine. They may not last quite as long as the Premium filters, but they worked pretty good for us. I will say that they were a little bit trickier to install than the standard filters. Not too bad...just an extra couple of twists and maneuvering. All good so far and we've had them for about 2 months now.

Each filter comes with instructions and a "month to replace by" stickers. The filter is easy to install. After replacing the filter you are instructed to bleed it by running about 2 gallons of water so as to get the air out of the system and run water through the filter just enough to be clear if any sediment in your system. This filter was different that the ones I previously used because it runs gray from the charcoal for those two gallons. It was helpful to know when to stop running it but I wasn't expecting gray water. But my plants got a good watering. The water tastes just like I was using an expensive filter.... Wet with no mineral after taste.
