Just like the mor expensive ones from Cuisinart! The charcoal filters I purchased appear to be exactly as the ones I have preciously purchased thru Cuisinart. These however do not seem to have as much of the charcoal in them, but yet they still do serve the same purpose. I don't mean they are empty, the woven fabric around them doesn't seem as tight. They fit directly into the filter hold, and I have not had any issue with them. Made well, and still good quality. I hope that my coffee pot last as long as the supply of these filters. I don't have hard water in my house, so I'm not as concerned about the appliance as I am about what I take into my body. I do use filtered water in the coffee and the hot water portion of my coffee maker, but I still like knowing that I have the extra protection of the additional charcoal filter. These are priced very reasonably and come in a set of 12. If you have hard water it's a good idea to change them once a month but otherwise 60 days is perfect. So, a dozen can be a two-year supply if you have just the coffee pot. Because I have the coffee pot and hot water dispenser combo, this is a year supply.
