While filtering through for 3 minutes, a black cloud of water came bursting out of my fridge spout. My guess is that this was from some built up carbon powder that was in the filter and was small enough to come through. I continued to run water through for a long time after this to make sure that it wouldn't happen again. I contacted the company that sold this to me and they suggested reinstalling the filter and running the water through again. And to contact them for a replacement if it happened again. What they didn't tell me is the cause for this happening and what was in my water. In the future I will pay full price to buy the ones that are sold at the hardware store.
