What's not to like?
If you need one of these for your whole house water system then this one is as good as most. I learned a trick from my water treatment guy; if the O ring stretches out between filter changes put it in your freezer for a few minutes and it will shrink down to the former size when replacing the filter! Also, only use silicone grease on the threads and O ring for easy changing the next time.

Water Filter Housing Replacement O Ring For Culligan HD-950. We recommend consumers keep a spare o ring on hand to avoid urgent situations. This o ring will accomodate filter housings which require large diameter cartridges. These cartridges have an approximate diameter of 4.5 inches. The o ring itself actually measures approximately 5.465 inch (inside diameter). An o ring facilitates a water tight seal between the water filter sump and the water filter head. The most common o rings (o-rings) used in water filtration are made from Buna N material. Buna N is also commonly referred to as nitrile. This is the ideal choice for cold water filtration because they are inexpensive and have superior performance characteristics.
Its an o ring....
It did its job of sealing my water filter canister flawlessly. Its an o-ring, that is what it is meant to do. What else can you really say about an o-ring?
OEM O Ring
The O ring goes bad that's life. Make sure you get some food grade silicone to put on it. It helps prolong the life of the gasket and you won't have to over tighten it to get a good seal. I would recommend replacing it every few years. It's a cheap item that can save your from a lot of mopping up.
