This is my third one
In as many as 12 years with my Bryant furnace, my general humidifier uses this solenoid to control the water, I'm on the third one which has either burned out or plugged up so bad I found it easier to replace. Much to expensive for what it does, but there aren't to many choices on the market. I guess it's failed more than my furnace which has never had a service issue thus far. Not a good track record for this valve.

Third for our humidifier...
This is the third of these valves we have installed. They work perfectly when installed. The first came with the humidifier and lasted about two years, then would not open, so we did not get any humidity. We replaced it. The second lasted less than a year before it started humming loudly when it came on. Until I could get another, I found whacking it with a wrench would shut it up for a while, then that started to fail as well. The new one fixed the problem completely (again) and everything works again, but for how long? These are the OEM valves. I have to wonder why they don't last just about forever.
