WORKS GREAT
This is the metal type mesh that the water runs down for the furnace humidifier. It installs easily and works great. It has a black paint mark on top to advise this side up when installed. Good product.

Not worth the couple of dollars you save.
I gave this a try and installed it last October. It lasted through the heating season and seemed to be working ok. However, the heater kicked on earlier than normal this year (and therefore also our humidifier). I went to the furnace to put a new water panel in, and found water on the floor around the furnace. I checked inside, and found the bottom of the furnace had standing water in it, and the air filter was soaking wet. I traced the issue up to this water panel. It had broken down on the top, leaving a u-shaped dent, and the water that was dripping onto it from the distribution tray was immediately redirecting into the return air vent. There was also white chalky/sandy substances all over the humidifier. I will only be using the OEM water panels from now on. If you are good about changing your water panel frequently, these may still work for you. I will include a cell phone photo of the water panel.
