It has the typical 40 to 44 ounce capacity of a ten cup coffee maker, but if you go any over the 44 ounces, which is dead on the bottom of 10 cup line limit, it will spill out on your counter. They say a cup is 4.4 oz. which I guess is kind of standard. Other features I like are that the carafe is not glass lined and has a vacuum between the walls. When you make a pot of coffee the outside of the carafe stays at the same temperature it started so very little heat escapes through the wall.
