Less Filling! Performance Works great in my 11'x19' office. This unit was able to increase and hold humidity to a solid 45% from 21% in a couple of hours. The humidifier seemed to max out around 55% which is ten points higher than most sources recommend. The unit doesn't seem taxed to hold humidity at 45%. The fan runs intermittently for variable lengths of time based on fan speed. Fan noise obviously is a function of fan speed which can be set in one step increment/decrement between a low of 1 and a high of 9. IMO fan speeds between 1 and 5 are acceptable during conference calls, beyond that it's noticeable to others on the call. Refill wise I've refilled the unit every three days. The display had not indicated refill required but visual inspection showed the reservoir was low. This is a HUGE improvement over those little 3/4 gallon appliances that aren't up to the task of very dry climates. The hygrometer built into the unit tends to read seven to ten points above...
