The neutralizer comes packed neatly in a box with 2 - 3/4" IPS unions, 4 - 3/4" IPS x 1/2" barbed adapters, 2 - mounting brackets, about 6 ft of quality clear vinyl tubing and installation instructions. I am using this for a 90%+ condensing gas furnace. The main unit and installation parts are of good quality. In my case, I installed the unit with the included mounting brackets neatly on the rear lower portion of the furnace. If you use hard pipe, you would use the unions. I used 1/2" vinyl tubing so only used barbed adapters. I also installed the bypass as suggested(this requires 2 - 1/2" barbed nylon tee and 2 - 1/2" barbed nylon 90 degree elbow. Doesn't change water PH significantly - PH = 4.5 in & out I installed on my Gas condensate line before the condensate pump. After installation, measured PH with PH Test Strips. PH before and after "condensate Neutralizer" was 4.5. I was expecting PH to go from 4.5 to 7 or perhaps 6, but the limestone rocks have virtually no effect. I'm now searching for a different material to replace the rocks that came with the filter. I am giving them 3 starts because the fittings, brackets and overall quality is good. But there is little that explains how the rocks "neutralize" the PH of the water and my guess is the water isn't in contact with the rocks long enough as it passes through the Neutralizer to change the PH of the water which is why I installed the unit. Update: I'm purchasing another PH test strip to confirm my PH measurements. I';m currently healthwiser ph test strips purchased on Amazon.com -
