It has a simple toilet tank type float and cover that fits on top to keep the cooler filled. Using this cooler and a separate reverse osmosis system was way cheaper and provided higher quality/capacity water than buying a bottleless filter dispenser system. Going this route takes up more space but is easier to fix and maintain. The reverse osmosis system can also be installed somewhere else with a simple 1/4" water line running to the cooler. Been using this unit for a year without any problems. Cheap enough that I won't feel bad if it fails in a few years. I'll just buy another one.

Nice cooler Everything went together well and works good. Some assembly required to replace bottle holder with bottleless system. Good value for the money. Would purchase again.
