My 10yo gasket had holes and I was tired of trying to patch it. I was considering junking the machine but decided to try to put a new seal on. My unit is stacked in a cubby so I knew I did not want to take it all down to remove the top and front and I heard online that some people have successfully replaced all through the main opening.

1. Remove outer spring.
2. Push old seal in towards tub and remove it from water feed tube at 10:00 and spray tube at 12:00 (if you have it)
3. Push old seal all the way into middle of tub exposing the outside edge where it hooks to tub.
4. find bolt on metal ring at 2:00. I used a 9/32 screwdriver socket clamped in a small visegrip plier to loosen bold a couple turns.
5. Once ring is loose, remove ring and set aside.
6. Remove old seal from tub.
7. Take new seal and put some dish soap on inner edge where it will mount on tub.

Not Good Enough Quality
I bought this and it lasted 18 months before catastrophically failing. The bellow ripped apart! Also it did get a hole in it 12 months ago which I used duct tape to fix (it worked). We do large loads so if you only do smaller loads this may be fine but we will not buy it again.
It got the job done!
Perfect fit & from what I was quoted by a local service technician, fixing it myself saved my at least $200!! The installation took less than 1 hour, with the last 30+ minutes struggling with the cable affixing the seal to the door frame. This step could have taken 3-5 minutes if I'd had a 3rd hand (or a helper of course). See the following link for repair [...]
