Set-up required very little time but a screwdriver was needed for 2 long and 3 short screws. I tested this 'Bissell' rug cleaner on 3 room size rugs. First a very tight weave, next a rug with a looser weave, and lastly a Berber, experiencing no difficulty at all. I'm pleased with the degree of cleaning and also the power of the vacuum as the cleaner brush was able to pick up lint that my vacuum had missed, or left behind.
