Who Knows What's Inside ANY Water Filter?
Folks, let's face it: when you buy an off-brand filter, as I did, you really have no idea what's in it. There's no government or other watchdog agency that certifies what's inside a water filter. All you can do is rely on TRUST that the knockoff manufacturer is using filler that is just as effective as the OEM version. That's what I did. In all probability, I'll never know whether the nasty stuff I want to avoid is being filtered out or not. Anyway, the "replace filter" light on my refrigerator control panel is no longer on. Oh yes, it's up to the customer to turn off that dang light. :-)
