New Dyson DC41 Ball Multifloor Upright Vacuum (Certified Refurbished) Top List

Dyson DC41 Upright Vacuum
Dyson Root Cyclone Technology

Features

Mini turbine head for powerful pet hair removal : Pet hair can gather in hard to reach places and stick to upholstery. The Mini turbine head attaches to the machine’s wand to remove hair from confined spaces that would otherwise be hard to reach.

Captures allergens, expels cleaner air: DC41 Multi floor includes a sealed HEPA (High-Efficiency Particle Air) filter to trap tiny particles as small as 0.1 microns. That’s about the size of a single particle of cigarette smoke. Particles this small include common household allergens such as pollen, mold spores and dust mites. And because the filter is washable you won’t need to replace it. Just give it a rinse once a month with cold water.

Instant release wand: DC41 Animal has an instant release, long reach wand for cleaning stairs and hard to reach areas – it stretches up to 5 times in length. There are no separate parts to assemble.

Clear bin lets you see when it needs emptying: The bin on a Dyson vacuum cleaner is transparent so you can see when it needs emptying, and just how much dust, dirt and pet hair your new Dyson machine has picked up. Emptying is quick and hygienic- just press the button to release the dirt.

No extra costs: Other vacuum cleaners are still designed to need replacement bags and filter. Dyson vacuum cleaners don't need bags and have washable filters, so there are no extra costs.

Approved for allergy sufferers: All new Dyson upright and canister vacuums are certified asthma & allergy friendly by the Asthma & Allergy Foundation of America.

Dyson Refurbished Vacuums: Dyson refurbished vacuums have been stripped down, cleaned out, reassembled and thoroughly tested. They’re restored to a fully functional condition. In short, they are everything a Dyson machine should be- they work properly and don’t lose suction. Dyson refurbishes vacuums that are returned to us by retailers or consumers. Refurbishing these machines, rather than disposing of them, means that the parts and materials are re-used instead of wasted.

When a machine comes to us to be refurbished, it is first stripped down as far as necessary. Components removed from the machine that meet our high standards of quality are kept and cleaned. Most damaged or broken components are sent away for recycling. The core of the machine is thoroughly cleaned and new parts are added to replace damaged or cosmetically unacceptable parts discovered during the stripping down process.

Just like our brand new machines, the rebuilt machine then undergoes a comprehensive series of electrical and performance tests to ensure that it works as it should. For our vacuums, one of the tests carried out is a suction test. All refurbished vacuums are electrically tested in compliance with electrical and safety requirements.

One of the primary differences between a new Dyson machine and a refurbished Dyson machine is its appearance– a scratch here or there or a slightly clouded bin may provide a clue that it has been previously used. After it has passed all of the tests, the machine is then packaged and sent out. All Dyson refurbished vacuums come with a 6 month parts and labor warranty.

I look forward to vacuuming now!
Absolutely LOVE this vacuum! I have two cats and a dog so the floors are constantly full of hair. This sucker works great on carpet and hard wood floor. The suction is so good, I have to be careful and remove everything from the floor or it will be sucked up. Got used to the ball design pretty quickly. Emptying the dust bin was a breeze.

This certified refurbished Dyson DC41 Upright Ball Vacuum is engineered for outstanding cleaning performance and ease of use. It has the strongest suction at the cleaner head, which automatically self-adjusts for different carpet lengths and hard floors. The DC41 features Dyson's latest Radial Root Cyclone technology, Ball technology for smooth steering, and a large 0.55-gallon bin.

DC41 Animal with Tangle-Free Tool is a Dyson Ball upright vacuum cleaner for powerful all-around dirt and pet hair removal. The machine’s cleaner head has an active base plate, which self-adjusts automatically for optimal contact with all floor types. On hard floors the base plate lowers to create an efficient seal, and the brush bar lifts clear off the floor to protect delicate surfaces. On carpet the base plate rises and the brush bar lowers for optimum bristle penetration – removing ground-in dirt and pet hair from different depths of carpet pile. And because the cleaner head adjusts automatically, there are no dials and you don’t need to bend down to make adjustments.

Dyson cyclones capture more dirt than any other cyclone. DC41 Animal has Radial Root Cyclone technology with remodeled airflows to maximize suction power. It also comes with a Mini turbine head to clean pet hair and dirt from confined spaces, upholstery, stairs and the car. DC41 Animal also has patented Ball technology. It turns on the spot, which allows you to maneuver more easily around obstacles and into awkward spaces. And because the motor and other key technologies are located in the ball, there are fewer components on the outside of the machine. This makes it easier to steer closer to edges.

Patented Dyson Technology

Dyson engineers are constantly testing and inventing, trying to find new ways to make their technology work better. As they work, they file patent applications to protect their inventions from copycat manufacturers. That's why the only place you'll find Dyson technology is inside a Dyson machine.

Root Cyclone technology for No Loss of Suction Ordinary vacuum cleaners rely on bags and filters to trap dust and dirt. Air is meant to flow through tiny holes, leaving dust and dirt behind. The problem is that these tiny holes quickly clog up with particles of dust. This chokes the flow of air, so the vacuum cleaner loses suction. Dyson vacuum cleaners don't rely on bags to trap dust and dirt. They use patented Root Cyclone technology, which spins the air at incredibly high speeds. The cyclones inside a Dyson vacuum cleaner generate centrifugal forces many thousands of times the force of gravity. Dust, dirt and pet hair are flung out of the airflow and straight into the clear bin. No bags, no loss of suction.

Dyson has been continually refining cyclone technology since inventing it more than 20 years ago. DC41 has new Radial Root Cyclone technology. Reconfigured air channels and improved flow efficiency reduce turbulence and preserve air pressure, so that the inner cyclones can extract more microscopic particles. These refinements help remove more dirt, dust, allergens and pet hair for the airflow.

Ball Technology to Help You Steer with Ease Have you ever gotten frustrated pushing an ordinary upright vacuum cleaner back and forth, back and forth to steer around furniture and other obstacles? Have a look underneath it, and you'll see that's because it sits on fixed wheels – perfect if all you want to do is travel in a straight line, but not so good at corners. Frustration is an important source of invention for Dyson engineers – it sparks new ideas, and new ways of solving problems. It was their frustration with fixed wheels that led them to develop a new way of turning corners.

Dyson Ball vacuum cleaners use patented Ball technology to overcome the steering limitations of fixed wheels. They ride on a ball, which pivots around itself so you can steer with ease, changing direction with just a turn of the wrist. The idea for Ball technology came about from a Dyson engineer studying new ways to steer. It started crudely - an old wand handle attached to a wheel. Eventually the wheel became a ball - and an ideal home for the motor.

The ball itself is made of glass-reinforced polypropylene – the same material used in the manufacture of car dashboards. It combines high impact strength with resistance to distortion. The ball is also where you'll find the motor. By putting the motor inside the ball, at a neutral point, Dyson engineers were able to lower the machine's center of gravity and improve maneuverability even further.
