Fits well. It took flushing 3 gallons of water before the water cleared up. The standard LG filter needs to be flushed also, but the water was always clear. The taste of the water filtered by the Tier1 is off, very strange taste enough so that I won't drink the water it filters. Also, the Tier1 does not have NSF certification, but since Tier1 is made in China I'm not surprised. If I knew Tier1 was imported, I would never have trusted it to filter my drinking water. I installed one of the two Tier1 filters Monday and Tuesday I'm ordering the LG brand. I can't replace the Tier1 fast enough. I originally purchased two Tier1's and I plan to open the second one to see the contents and check the quality of the components. After I do I'll submit a follow-up review. In short, stay with a reputable manufacturer when it involves something you consume. I would appreciate it if Amazon would list the country of origin for all products sold on the Amazon site.

I was very hesitant to try a generic water filter, as I've tried one in the past & it didn't work well at all. I was really worried that this one would make our water taste bad; however, we didn't notice any difference at all. Also in the past when we used a generic filter we noticed a lot of black carbon floating in our water. We didn't notice any at all with these filters. You can't beat the price for the 2 pack. You'll pay this much or more for 1 of the LG brand. I definitely recommend these filters & will be using them from now on. I received this product for a discout/free for my honest, unbiased review.
