The filter is the filter, but what I wanted to help with is the install. I couldn't figure out how to remove the cover to get to the old filter. I found a youtube support video from LG which showed someone simply grab the housing in the fridge and rotate it to the left like unscrewing the lid of a bottle. It was that simple! Grab the housing, rotate left and it pops off. The old filter is in the housing you have in your hand. Pop out the old filter, snap in the new one, and reattach the cover inside the fridge. It was actually harder to put in since you had to get the tabs to align just right before twisting to the right. It took me 3 quick tries until I got it right and it snapped back in place. You aren't done! Close the fridge and look for the filter light. Hold the button down for 3 seconds to reset it. Enjoy!
