I paid $45 for this filter but the price has since dropped to $29. The new price makes it much more affortable, especially since LG recommends replacing its filters every 6 months. This can get expensive. The fridge has a timer for 6 months that doesn't acurately reflect the usage of the filter. The filter needs to be replaced when the water starts dispensing slower, not after exactly 6 months. Also, do yourself a favor and use the LG brand filter and not a cheap knock off. I read other reviews that say you could experience slower water dispensing and dirtier water if you go with a knockoff.
