Paying close to $45 with shipping, I expected a product worth close to $45 or at least $35. If I were doing it all over again, I wouldn't pay more than $25 for this. It does function as a good water gauge which was the purpose I bought it. If you're like me, you don't want to have to remember to check the water all the time and this works well to quickly glance at it and know how much water is in it and when to refill it. Pros: Good water gauge Good flow of water Comes apart easily to clean Glass tube Fast shipping Cons: Silver plastic casing around the glass tube is plastic and not stainless steel Plastic casing does not match my stainless steel Royal Berkey No replacement parts if something, such as the glass tube, breaks (You would have to buy the whole thing over again!) It saves me the trouble of lifting off. The upper chamber to check the level and considering how much water we run through the filter I would not consider doing without it. Update: I am changing my rating from 5 stars to 4 stars. The customer service rep at Berkey told me that the spigot is actually made of non-anodized aluminum and that I should not get it wet which I thought was hilarious since it is on the front of a water filter. Since this is aluminum instead of stainless the price should be in the $20-25 range instead of $40.

Water View for Berkey Works well. Instructions could be a bit clearer. But a very good accessory for knowing when to refill your Berkey instead of looking each time in to the bottom section. Should be standard and included in Berkeys. But sure glad it's available.
