My favorite kettle is this one by VonShef This stainless steel kettle looks really nice on my countertop. The design is clean, modern and simple. The kettle works very fast, all you do is fill it (somewhere between the minimum and maximum line) using fresh water. I even used hot water from the tap and it works equally well and of course heats up even quicker. Seat the kettle on the bottom plate, plug it in and press the power button. There is a blue light inside so you can see the water as it heats up and boils. I find myself wanting to watch it every time because the blue-lit boiling water looks extremely cool! Once the water boils the blue light switches off with the power and the water is ready. The kettle also has a shut off safety feature so if there is not enough water or it gets too low it will automatically shut off (or not turn on at all.) it's a really nice kettle and if I had to buy one again this would be the one.
