Did the job on the first use!
This stuff really does work! I followed the directions, and it worked on the very first try. If you have a water boiler/dispensing pot, I'd highly recommend Zojirushi Electric Dispensing Pot Cleaner and Descaler to do the regular cleaning that is required with these appliances. Note: After the cleaning is done, I recommend using a clean cloth or paper towel to wipe off any residual haze that might be left. That should complete the job. The unit will be as clean as it was when it was new.

Keep your electric dispensing pot clean and efficient with this cleaner and descaler pack from Zojirushi. Including two boxes that contain four packs each, the cleaner is made from 100% non-toxic, citric acid and removes limescale buildup from your electric water dispensing appliances. Each 30 gram packet is designed for one cleaning cycle of your water pot. Using this cleaner helps remove impurities from your machines for the best tasting coffee, espresso or tea. While the cleaner is intended for use with electric water pots, it can also be used with kettles, and coffee and espresso makers.
The directions don't come in English but the pictured instructions on the side of the box made it easy to figure out.
I have had my Zojirushi water boiler for a few months. Recently, I noticed that I could now hear the water boil and when I looked inside the machine I could see thick water deposits. These are two signs the boiler needs decalcification. This product works very well and was easy to use. It took me two different cleaning cycles in order to descale everything. The water deposits were pretty severe in my machine. I made sure to fill and rinse the machine with cool water three times after the last cleaning. After that I filled the machine again and drained it through the dispensing spout. All turned out well. The directions on the package were easy. All I had to do was the dissolve the packet in a cup of warm water, add solution to the machine, add enough water to reach the fill line and hold the reboil button down until it beeped. Wait for more beeps to signify the cleaning cycle is over. Rinse throughly. The cleaning process takes about 90 minutes.
