Nice Tea Maker This was a surprise gift so before I used the item I looked online and found nothing so I figured it must be better than making tea in a pot on the stove and went for it. This is obviously a Chinese product based on the wording on the package and manual, but the packaging is nice and sturdy so the unit arrived undamaged. This a very nice looking product, it complements our stainless steel appliances and does not take up very much counter space. It also appears to be made well, the handle is sturdy, the glass pitcher is clear and thick, and the plug is a 3 prong grounded plug. This tea maker comes with two different lids, one with an attached basket made for loose tea and one standard lid. I don't make loose tea very often but I tested the operation of moving the basket up and down and it seems to work as intended. I may have to start making loose tea now that I have the capability.
