Leaked I ordered this for my son's room. I used it once, and it worked fine. I didn't think anything of not emptying it b/c he would use it again that night. However, when I went to his room that evening, the humidifier had leaked all over his dresser and onto the floor. I tested it again later in the bathtub. I made sure I had it closed tightly and it wasn't leaking when I put the container on it. However, it leaked again all over the tub. I was very disappointed and plan to return it.

it's pretty cute for a humidifier I have to admit, it's pretty cute for a humidifier. It works well but is not without its flaws. 1. It has to sit on a hard surface, NOT carpet due to the air intake being on the bottom. 2. It has a tendency to leak. It's essentially 3 pieces: the base, the blue water tank and the snout. What I have noticed is, the water tank has a opening that extends thru the tank and into the base. At the bottom of the opening is a plastic piece that has a hole at the bottom and several vertical openings in the side, which allows the mist to travel from the base, thru the water tank and out thru the snout. The problem is that whatever is used to create the mist is directly below the hole and causes droplets of water to shoot out vertically and collect on the top of the tank, which eventually leaks out of the bottom of the snout. It's not just a little water, it can be a lot. To fix the issue, simply drop something (I used a quarter) down the shaft of the water tank to block the bottom...

Since it blows stream straight up, it would make sense to put it on the floor, but you would ruin your flooring by doing so.
