Flimsy... not worth it if it's broken I bought this French Press knowing that it was maybe not the best, but based on the 4 out of 5 stars it would work adequately. However, after a couple weeks of use, it developed a crack in the bottom and spilled hot coffee all over my work desk. I examined the bottom, not able to find the crack, but it made a noise telling me something was loose. I eventually popped the bottom out to examine it and saw that it was made of thin glass, unlike the sides, which were thicker (see picture). If anything, the bottom should be the thickest because that's what's going to have the most contact with other surfaces. Will buy a better one next time.

Mine does not have a stainless cup, but my cup is tapered like this one. Pros: 1) Brews 1 cup (I'm the only one who drinks it). 2) Quick, about 2 minutes to brew and 5 to finish dripping. 3) Easy to clean. I have rinsed the entire unit several times. 4) No trash. Comes with a permanent filter. 5) Filter cleans easily. Just tap out the coffee in the trash and rinse. 5) Can be used with a timer. See below for explanation. 6) Takes up very little space. 7) Can be used with other cups. As long as you don't overflow the reservoir and your cup will fit under it, the cup will work. Good mid-level air purifier I use this purifier to keep the air in my office clean and allergen-free (I have pretty bad dust allergies). I can definitely tell it's working - about a day after I got it up and running, the air in my office just *smells* cleaner, and no sneezing when I come in every morning. When you first turn it on, it defaults to the High setting, which can be a bit noisy (for an office, at least), but the Medium setting is very quiet. I use the timer feature to just run it for the workday (it has 2, 4, 6, and 8 hour options). I haven't had to change the filter as yet - I've probably got a few more months on it - but they're not as inexpensive as I would like. The only real complaint I could have with it is the construction. The plastic it's made of seems to be a bit cheap, but since you really just put it in the corner and leave it there, this isn't really an issue.
