It leaves NO SEDIMENT in the cup at all, yet you're still getting a full rich extraction like you've used a micro-mesh Aeropress filter or other gold mesh filter. When I bought it, it was only $39. Quite a bargain, I've since bought more as gifts It has become my de facto brewing method, displacing the Kalita Wave as well. There's two metal surfaces touching each other and pretty soon, that area will become tricky to clean. I imagine some boiling water and Joe-Glo or maybe even citric acid should be sufficient at dissolving any trapped powdery residue stuck between the mesh and the metal filter wall itself. This filter fits Chemex Brewers as well. It sits at a slight angle, but no so severely that it affects the extraction of coffee. The only small irritating issue with the brewer is the brown silicone ring that wraps around the drippers base has fallen off twice and it's hard to put back on...

I was purchasing this as a gift for my father, who does a lot of travel coast to coast, and normally brings a standard rigid plastic Melitta #2 filter cone with him to make coffee wherever he goes. This collapsible version seemed like a perfect travel accessory. At first I had ordered the GSI Outdoors product because I liked the idea of the lid that would double as a drip tray, but when I received the product, I was surprised how bulky it was. I was picturing it as really compact, for space saving in my dad's luggage, and this one just did not fit the bill. So, after scrutinizing the product descriptions of this SlickDrip versus the William Bounds model, trying to figure out which would be more compact (but with no definite answers because the product dimensions listed...

Need something portable for your Office, RV, or outdoor adventures? Tired of having to make a whole pot of coffee when all you want is one cup? Those days are over thanks to the Cuissential SlickDrip Coffee Dripper. Simply place the SlickDrip over your mug, set the paper filter, add coffee and boiling water, and your java fix will be satisfied within minutes. Thanks to its modern, FDA food-safe silicone design, the SlickDrip lasts much longer than more expensive acrylic, glass and ceramic versions. Also, unlike cheaper plastic drippers and counter-top coffee machines, silicone does not pass any odors or flavor into your coffee. Who likes plastic coffee??? For best results use a #4 or #2 coffee filter, which will keep loose grounds out of your mug. If you want more control over your coffee's flavor, and a more affordable, collapsible, alternative to glass and ceramic drippers, welcome the SlickDrip to your home. (Please note we have recently changed the spelling of our brand name from Cuissential to Kuissential. Everything else about us is staying the same. Sorry for the confusion!) Great coffee dripper Love this coffee dripper. Very sturdy and well-designed, easy to clean and store. Probably best suited to one cup or mug at a time use, though, or maybe coffee for two. Anyway, with coffee prices going up, I began to regret every quarter to half pot I'd pour down the drain in the afternoon. Some days, I'd want three mug-fulls, other days something would come up and I'd only drink one. I like French press coffee, but it's often a bother and takes a while to make. I also have a Capresso drip coffee maker -- but that was the half pot I kept throwing away. So when we decided to buy an always-on automatic water boiler, the Zojirushi CV-DSC40 VE Hybrid Water Boiler and Warmer, Stainless Steel, intending to use it for coffee, tea, instant soups, and on-demand hot water, I decided to switch to a cup-at-a-time dripper. I guess I didn't follow the directions exactly because at the end of the cleaning cycle the descaling light was still lit. So after reading the directions again and HOLDING the brew button for at least 3 seconds, the descaling cycle began. I filled the reservoir to the Max line and added the descaling solution. It took more than an hour, but the descaling solution cleaned all of the gunk and scaling from the machine's interior and the dreaded descaling light went out. Beverages taste as good as the day I bought my machine. I'm happy! I use my Tassimo every day so getting a good-tasting cup of coffee is essential to my daughter and me. Non-toxic and bio-degradable, Dezcal is suitable for use by both professional technicians and home users alike. Each Retail Box contains 4 single-use packets. Saved my $250 coffee maker I have a Breville YouBrew that is only 3 months old, and alerted me that it required descaling (the water is terribly hard where I live). I followed Breville's instructions exactly, using vinegar, and had a useless machine afterwards. I'm guessing that the vinegar loosened the deposits inside the machine, and consolidated them into a single mass that all but completely blocked water flow. On 3 occasions I told the machine to make 12 cups -- and after 10 minutes of the machine hissing, coughing, groaning and sweating, I'd end up with 4 cups, at which point the machine would give up. I was just about to call Breville to ask for a replacement, but decided to give this product a try first -- and man was I glad I did! I used 2 packets, mixed with 60 ounces of water... and immediately saw a massive difference. All of the hissing and sputtering were gone, and on the first round the machine cycled the full 12 cups. I then ran 60 ounces of plain water...

I bought 3 sets for one dollar (15,000 dong) in Vietnam, and soon realized that I needed more. So, I bought a few in the U.S. (local VN grocery store) and noticed that they come in different forms. This one has the screw in press, which I don't like as much as the simple press down piece that just sits on top of the ground coffee. It works great. The screw in needs to be tighten until you hit the coffee, but don't tighten too much (low drip, or no drip) and too little (too fast), but just right. I can't figure it out. It is much more difficult to remove the screw part after the coffee is done. Worse, sometimes it can be that it is screwed in too hard, so the water does not drain through, but now you can't loosen it, because the hot water covers the piece. That's why the simpler version works much better. I have never seen this construction in Vietnam...

See Products Related To 1 X Vietnamese coffee filter set: Importfood Preparing delicious Vietnamese coffee is quick, easy and doesn't require much clean-up afterward. The coffee filter is stainless steel and there are three parts (filter, screw-on damper, and lid). Simply place the filter on top of a cup, so it looks like a hat. Add 2-3 teaspoons of coffee to the filter, then screw on the damper so it's snug (not tight). Shake the filter a bit to settle the coffee. Fill up the cup about 1/3 with hot water then wait 20 seconds. Unscrew the damper 2 turns and fill the cup entirely with hot water. Place the lid on and wait a few minutes until the water has dripped though. Add a spoonful (or more) of sweetened condensed milk to the cup before or after you start the process. The final result is fabulous. Printed instructions come with the filter. The filter set is made in Taiwan of stainless steel, and quality is excellent--it will last for years. We offer Vietnamese coffee as well. All I want is 1 cup of coffee And this little gadget does the job much better than a Melitta style funnel and paper filter. If you grind your own you'll need to experiment a bit with how fine to grind and how tight to screw down the tamper, but after a few tries you should have the cup of coffee you want. I have 4 now. They are pretty cool for serving coffee when you have company. I don't think the online price is outrageous, but if you are lucky enough to live in a city with a Vietnamese market you can pick these up for $3 each.

I was able to remove the existing k-cup before putting this in and was easy to ‘install’. It is very easy to clean, you just run it under some water after each use and put it back in the Keurig. I am not a big fan of my Keurig during the summer since at 7 in the morning it is already 100+ degrees out. I will be able to better test it out when I use it during fall and winter!
