I like that it comes with a whole different K cup holder, which replaces the one on your machine. You then put your coffee in one of the 'gold" baskets/pods, place it in the holder, and the lid twists on enclosing the whole thing. Others I have seen have a little built in lid for each K cup that has to be snapped on. The down side is you can't pre-fill your K cups to have more than one ready in advance. The coffee dispensed almost as neatly as a purchased K cup but there is more cleanup. If you are doing more than one cup at a time, the reusable K cup is very hot to remove and kind of messy to swap out. It would be easier if there was a lip to grasp the K cup basket out of the K cup holder.
