I was looking for a small-ish deep fryer for me and my boyfriend. I wanted something cheap but good because I didn't know exactly how much I would use it. We don't have a lot of counter space, so size was an issue. I saw this one on Amazon about a week ago for $29.99. The price was perfect but it only had a handful of reviews so I was skeptical. All the reviews were positive though, so I took a chance and ordered it. This thing is pretty much perfect for our needs. The temperature control is accurate, the heating coils are in the oil as opposed to under the unit (this is good, because a crumb layer on the latter kind will make it even harder for your oil to stay the temperature it's supposed to), it came with a nice basket with a collapsible handle. It fits on my countertop and is comparable in size to my Keurig and my Kitchenaid stand mixer. It has a removable layer for easier cleaning. The lid fits as snugly as you would want it to. The basket even has a little... |

| Excellent We just purchased this and I have to say we are very surprised of how good it works for the price we paid. First test, we did some cheese sticks from the freezer and it cooked them very fast at 375 and weren't very oily tasting. Our next test was frozen French fries and chicken wings. We cooked the fries first and were very surprised they snapped when we broke one in half and I have to say they were great tasting with just a tad of salt. The wings were frozen and cooked in about 10 minutes and all we did was season them a little and they were good, crunchy on the outside and cooked perfectly inside. Recovery time was excellent on the temperature! After that test, I did one other with a thermometer, and with it set at 375, it read 375.5 which is almost perfect. I cannot say that for the Delonghi Roto fryer which maxed out at 355, not even close to the 375 temperature setting. That was almost 70 dollars more in price also and of course I returned it. | Price: $12.99 Details You save: Customers Who Seen This Item Also Compare with Deep Fryer Parts & Accessories For US/UK/DE visitors, to buy Rival RF22 Deep Fryer Replacement Filters, please check out: Rival RF22 Deep Fryer Replacement Filters I was very pleased at how fast I received my replacement filters. They come in a sheet in which you can use your old filter as a pattern. These filters were impossible to find at a store. I was so very glad to find them online and the cost being so low. |
| See Products Related To Rival RF22 Deep Fryer Replacement Filters: Rival Rival Deep Fryer Replacement FiltersElectric deep fryers are one of life's deliciously guilty pleasures. Part of what makes them great is that they're neither as messy nor as smelly as deep frying done in an open pot of oil. And it's the filters that keep them that way. Rival deep fryer replacement filters come as sheets of charcoal filter (black) and grease filter (white). Each sheet is large enough that it can be cut down to fit almost any brand of deep fryer: Rival, T-Fal, Presto, Sunbeam, Oster, or Delonghi. Depending on the size of the filter needed for a particular machine, one package of filters can yield as many as 4 charcoal and 2 grease filters. To replace filters, remove old filters but do not discard. Trace the old filter onto the filter sheet to match the size. (White grease filter can be washed in hot soapy water first to avoid messiness while tracing.) Cut around the traced outline and insert filter according to the instructions for the specific model of deep fryer. Each filter sheet measures 6 by 8-1/2 inches. --Garland Withers I purchased a very good Rival 3-liter deep-fryer over the internet and filters are not available at the local WalMart. The product description is inaccurate: with careful placement I easily cut 6 charcoal and 3 grease filters. The grease filters are thicker than the one supplied with my fryer, and I have to consider that a good thing. Overall, a better value than the description would suggest. If you use your Rival deep-fryer as much as I do, you need this. (I use light olive oil to fry - makes french fries that are actually *good* for you!) |
| A Must for Deep Fryers If you own a deep fryer and do not know about these yet, chances are you really need these. Depending on how often you use your deep fryer, you could need replacements in less than a month. So, what do they do? Simple, they keep oily fumes from invading your house when your frying-up a batch of french-fries. The oily smell in the air is not normal, and the fumes can leave an oily residue on anything and everything. So, you gotta have them. As far as I can tell, Rival is the only company that still makes the filters for home units at a reasonable price. |
