We've owned our Cooks coffee maker for over four years now and it still works like a champ. Unfortunately, I broke the carafe yesterday and am looking for a new one as well. I've seen one pot that may fit our machine (Cuisinart) but it's over $20. Another pot was priced at about $10. We paid $30 for the Cooks machine back in 2010/2011, so if we need to purchase another coffee maker altogether - we've got our money's worth.

We have one that we currently use and when we saw that this particular coffee maker was being phased out, we decided to get a replacement, even though we may not need it for sometime. The water temperature in this coffee maker gets very hot--Consumer Reports saying some years ago that it was hotter than nearly all the makers they tested (at that time). I think that is why my wife and I think the coffee is better than it was with previous coffee makers we had used. We think there is enough difference that we were willing to purchase another one, even with the current one still working, with the idea of storing the new one for the day when the current unit finally quits.

Great Coffee Maker This has been the best coffee maker we have owned, we got it as a gift and it has lasted us 3 years but sad to say it is messing up and leaking water out from underneath it. Come payday we got to get a new one. This coffee maker has out lasted the Mr. Coffee, Black n Decker, all the other ones we have bought. Really hate it is messing up, but things don't last forever as some of us hope for.
