Thought it was a mistake, but loved the kettle so much I bought a second one a week later for the same price. I'm a devoted tea drinker, so need boiling water several times a day. I tried the $100 water boilers twice and both quit working in a few months. Got tired of stove top boiling and microwave just doesn't taste right or heat evenly. When I picked up this kettle, I didn't expect much, but Farberware has always been a good brand in my experience. This kettle has been a dream come true--it will heat up a minimum of two cups of water at a time and is boiling away in a couple of minutes then shuts off automatically. Feel safe with glass because it doesn't leech chemicals and the tea tastes great.
