Water tastes great. Only time will tell if it really has 100 gallons more capacity than the o.e. filter. Even if it doesn't though, these are worth it for the excellent price, almost half of the LG cartridges. Update:July 2015- The first cartridge lasted about 5 months, so I doubt it is good for an extra 100 gallons over the LG cartridges, as the LG lasted about the same amount of time, and I didn't go by just the indicator on the fridge, there was also a difference in flavor. Great filter at a great price, with same capacity and life as the LG cartridges.
