So we called Sear and they took 3 weeks to get to your home. When they came , they said that they needed to replace this part and that the total cost of all labor and parts would come too $350. That was ridiculous as all I had to do was add another hundred bucks or so and get a brand new fridge. So we went online and purchased this from amazon.com and then replaced the faulty part ourselves. Mind you we have never done anything like this before and we were so proud of ourselves. The instructions are very clear and it is very easy to replace it.

All of that was fairly straight forward. Where I ran into a snag was when I was attaching the LAST hose. It was too big for the final valve!! I saw that this product came with a union, and this is where things became frustrating. In the directions, and watching the video, there is no mention of this union that came with the product, or why a union would be used. There was also no troubleshooting I could find online with the problem I had, especially since I don't know all of the technical terms for the various parts of the fridge. The union that...
