It works for the Purpose We have an older cold air humidifier that the wicks are no longer made. Before buying I checked dimensions of these wicks against the original wicks. These wicks fit in the holder with no problem. I clean these with vinegar to extend the life of the wicks. I will buy these as long as I have the current humidifier and the wicks are available.
