GE ones filtered for upwards of 6 months with the same level of usage. These were far from. I didn't test the water for quality or anything fancy, but if it starts tasting off I don't have confidence that the filter is doing its job. Bottom line, they didn't appear to filter as well as GE brand for our refrig or at least for as long. Two stars because they did work...but only two because they didn't work for long, especially for the price.
