Its important to install any window unit at a very slight angle so water condensation can drip out of the lower pan. If some are concerned with water dripping down the side of the house, you can easily remedy this by drilling a hole in the back pan (lowest metal section) and place a couple inch long acrylic hose to distance the flow away from the house.
