Works great, and runs quietly.
(Let me preface this review by saying that this past summer I was shopping for the perfect dehumidifier and if I had purchased the Perfect Aire initially I would have been able to avoid lots of hassle returning other units. I finally settled on a Hisense, but I returned a Frigidaire and Friedrich for various reasons.)

The Perfect Aire is moderate in size. It's about average for a dehumidifier and can be placed in the corner of a room or basement without getting in the way. It's heavy, though, so it is nice that it has casters on the bottom and built-in handles on the sides to make moving it from place to place easy. The Perfect Aire is very utilitarian in appearance and while it won't draw attention to itself, it's also not something you'll want to showcase in your room. The exterior of the unit is made completely of plastic, but the plastics are well assembled and feel high quality. The buttons operate smoothly, the water bucket pulls out easily, as does the air...

Great product, fantastic dehumidifying!
If Amazon allowed half stars, I'd give this dehumidifier 4.5 stars.

Set up is easy, and we were thrilled to get this since last year, we moved into a damp house, and in particular, the back bedroom, and general bedroom area. We ran the unit non-stop (as suggested by the directions) for the first 24 hours. The unit does make a low noise, but it really isn't that bad, and more like a white noise. The removable bucket fills up in about an hour in damp weather and you have to empty it, unless you want to hook up the hose and pump. We really didn't want to take a chance with that in the house. But once the unit has been running for a while and the humidity is lowered, the filling up slows down.

We definitely noticed a difference in the humidity in the house almost immediately. The unit has a digital read-out that shows you the level, which is very nice. This dehumidifier is so fancy compared to the one my parents had in the house I grew up in. It was very primitive...
Works satisfactorily in my basement
This is a 50-Pint electric dehumidifier that is good for an average sized basement or a large garage. The approximate coverage is about 3,000 square feet and it measures approximately 11 x 15.5 x 23.2 inches and weighs about 37 pounds. I use this machine in my basement. The setup is easy and no tools are required to get this going. This is great product to control humidity; I usually set it at 65% humidity. It has auto shut-off feature, that is when the desired humidity level is achieved it will stop, and resume automatically should the humidity level diverges from the set percentage level.

The electronic LED display is neat and clear. The bucket capacity is about 12.7 pints and the LED display indicates when it is full. I empty the bucket manually and restart the operation. Another feature of this machine is that it can operate at a lower temperature of up to 41F. The noise level is acceptable, but I recommend putting it on a stable flat surface to minimize noise due to...
