I got a replacement and one of the replacements had the internal part that holds the carbon filter material inside was loose and would just spill out. Not yet sure about it's operational performance...but I think this product needs some work with quality control.

The Second Media is KDF a high-purity copper-zinc formulation that uses a basic chemical process known as redox (oxidation/reduction) to remove chlorine, iron, and hydrogen sulfide from water supplies. The process also has a mild anti-bacterial, algaecitic, and fungicide, effect and may reduce the accumulation of lime scale. This filter should not be used with water that is microbiologically unsafe, or of unknown quality, without adequate disinfection before and or after the filter. This filter replaces the SHURflo Model RV-210GH-KDF-A. Five Stars Works very well. We use it when refilling our koi pond. Worth the money.

Haven't used it yet but... Will update in the future in regards to its performance and our experience. However, I wanted to mention that the technical details for this product are not correct on Amazon's site. The actual product details as listed on the box itself are a Flow Rate of 2.5 GPM and a temp range of 40F-100F. This differs greatly from the listed technical details on amazon's website of a flow rate of 0.5 and temp range of 33F-100F. Just wanted to point this out so that anyone looking at this product wouldn't get confused or feel that they couldn't make a properly informed decisions on it.
