The reason I dock stars is that they made no attempt to explain what went wrong. Now I am stuck wondering if I just git a lemon and should try another one or just pay the full price for the name brand product with a higher likelihood of working. This is a lot of thought, effort and time to spend on a fridge filter. Can't believe i'm even taking time to write this review, my life is way too busy for stuff like this.

All of these changes came about due to my drinking well failing its last test, so I tied into the municipal system. Prior to that I did have a good filter going on the well which would remove most impurities but did not want to push my luck. Our municipal water originates from a great lake, smells of fish in a chemical cocktail. So now I have two filters but soon will have a whole house system going also.
