A well built and generally solid Dehumidifier. I have been trying this out in Houston, though only in October so it isn't that bad. The floor, a lower one, I placed it on generally runs around 55% relative humidity, this lowered it to near 40%, which is a huge improvement. Under normal operation it isn't all that loud more of a background noise, though I can see it bothering some people. The timer works well and the bucket is adequate, only needing to be changed once a day. I did not try the hose as the space isn't suited for this, but it is a pretty generic unthreaded hose. My only real complaint was the absence of an instruction manual |

I have an older home with an unvented bathroom, and I use it in this room to keep humidity levels in check. This has a continuous operation setting, which should be used for the first couple days before setting it to the desired humidity level. It has a built-in hygrometer with an automatic setting. I have mine set to 55. I question the accuracy of the sensor because sometimes the unit will be operating when the hygrometer reads less than 50, and sometimes it will not start operating even though the humidity is above 60. It does work well to keep humidity levels in check, but it is still worth pointing out that this unit is not 100% accurate. The appearance of the unit itself is decent for a dehumidifier. It looks better in real life than it does in the picture. It also cleans well with a dusting cloth or some paper towels. I know this is purely superficial, but it is something worth considering for a unit... |
