The one I just replaced gave us many years of faithful service. The reason I made this purchase is the age of the old one and an occasional strange noise. I did not want to get caught without a coffee pot. The new Bunn arrived very quickly and I am pleased with the way it looks. However, the quality is not the same as the old one. Also this pot sprung a leak after a few weeks of using it. I will probably have to replace this one much sooner than the last one. I will see what else is on the market at that time. Since I wrote this review we contacted Bunn about the leak problem. They promptly replaced the pot with a new one. I would highly recommend dealing with the Bunn Company. We love our new pot.

Great coffee maker I have owned both old and new versions of the Bunn home coffee machine. I have gone through 3 of the home brewers in an office environment where they work 24 hrs. a day and are never subject to deliming or other maintenance .. other than normal washing. At home I've owned Bunn home coffee machines for the last 20 years; I'm on my 5th one. Forget the Mr. Coffee and those digital-timer wonders that are ok, but just don't work that well. I have noticed quality control issues with the newer models that are a little disturbing .. I don't like the straight design of the new coffee decanter ... the old onion-dome classic is what I really liked because the decanter just worked better .. balance with a full pot in hand, no spilling or sloushing problems .. and yes, it goes naturally back where it is supposed to go .. wish Bunn would get this right again and just give us the retro-classic machine! Secondly, my older machines all lasted longer than the newer...
