When I tried returning the filter to its place, the wired screen dislodged. As a result, there were sharp pieces of wire on the edges. This made cleaning the filter almost impossible the second go. SO, I chucked it. Interestingly, the previous filters survived numerous washes in the dishwasher. I'm not sure why these are such pieces of junk.

Great Price Bought for my Rangeaire over the stove hood. I went to the rangeaire website first. $18?? No way. So took a chance on this. Low price, arrived in three days, and perfect fit. The charcoal filter is on the outside of the aluminium mesh. It is not placed between the mesh. 4 tabs hold it in place. Easily removable. Next time I'll just but some charcoal filters, cut to size and be done with it. Thanks

just what I needed Filter is just what I needed.Fit my rangeaire hood perfectly. A great, inexpensive fix. Delivered a day late, and had a little kink in it, but it is not noticeable. I'm very happy.
