Not the original filter
This is not the original type of filter that came with my refrigerator. Get a piece of charcoal paper and put it in the original box - it will work better. I don't know what Electrolux did but this is a rip-off.

This is a genuine replacement part. The model number and name for the following item is: Air Filter EAFCBF Frigidaire filter
The box is correct, but the filter inside is NOT!
The long and short of this - is that I've bought many EAFCBF replacement air filters directly from Electrolux for my French Door Bottom Freezer Wave-Touch Pure Advantage Electrolux refrigerator. The item that arrived from Amazon was in the right box (same box that comes from Electrolux), but the filter inside was NOT the correct filter. It said "Electrolux" on it, but it was clearly a different filter. Others have claimed the same thing. I should have listened to them. The correct filter should say "Pure Advantage" on it AND have a perforated punch out on both sides of the cardboard filter, thus exposing the charcoal on both sides. The one I received from amazon.com did not say "Pure Advantage" on the actual filter, nor did it have a perforated punch out on both sides, but instead, one side was solid. I have no idea if Amazon's replacement filter would work, but I decided to return it and pay more directly from Electrolux. There was NO option for a refund on the returns page,...
Save some money - bake your filter
Essentially, these are good filters. They appear to have activated charcoal and maybe some zeolite media which capture the odor elements by "physisorption." The odors are loosely bound, not chemically bound, onto/into in the high surface area filter medium. After three months use our Electrolux "Change Air Filter" alert appeared. Rather than order a new filter I decided to desorb the element and reactivate it using just a little oven heat. The filter was placed on a rack with the oven heated to 200F. After baking the filter for 10 minutes the oven interior smelled like the fridge would have without the filter - cheesy and pretty stale. Following the bake, replace the filter element into the fridge. You will need to reset the Air Filter option on the control panel. Press the Air Filter icon for three seconds. Result: twelve bucks saved! ;-)
