Purchased a Melita single-cup plastic cone filter brewer about 30 years ago (for under $1 !!), and have used it ever since for camping trips, travel and those mornings when I just want a single cup of coffee. Still serviceable, but decided to buy another. Started looking last year, but unable to find one. Fortunately, located this one from JDH Enterprise on-line at Amazon, and the Melita "JOE" Single Cup brewer for the same price, so bought one of each. Both work very well, and allow my wife and I to customize our coffee so that we each enjoy exactly what we want. Simple, convenient and portable solution for brewing a perfect cup of coffee. Sticker price initially gave me pause, but considering I will still be using it many years from now, still a great value. Would recommend either brand. Other than the Melita "JOE" is slightly larger, no noticeable difference between them in producing an excellent cup of coffee.

I make two cups of coffee in the morning, dark roast for me, and decaf for my husband, using a separate filter cone for each of us.His was too tall, and we finally threw it away after it had been inadvertently knocked over just once too often while pouring water over grounds. What a mess! This new filter is the twin of the other one I already had, which is completely satisfactory. Incidentally, you don't need the more expensive cone shaped paper filters for it....just jam any old inexpensive one in. The filter that arrived is white, not yellow. No problem, just great!!

Design change results in even better filtering, fabulous brewer cone! The design of this Melitta style coffee filter cone has been changed so that there are three holes on the bottom instead of one which results in a filtering process that is much more hassle free..and the brew was delicious! The other filters on the market have one hole and this causes a backup of water in the filter at times..necessitating my taking a spoon and clearing the hole..NOT THIS! Love this. Came very quickly. Cheap..fabulous coffee brewer that does it's job better than 99% of the coffee makers out there, and I am truly a coffee snob! Grab this!
