I just ordered a second one. I hated how Everpure filters cost an arm and a leg ($83.49 right now, but with free shipping) and how their flow drops down to a trickle in about six months. With three of these in our house, that's expensive. Even so, I was hesitant to try this replacement. Would it fit? How would the water taste? Great news! It fit perfectly and a blind taste test showed no difference with the Everpure filter. I ordered just one of these as a test, but just placed an order for another -- our third filter is not yet run out. Also, if Pavel's data is right, this should be good for 10,000 gallons versus Everpure's 300 gallon rating. I doubt I'd leave it in that long, but it would be nice if the flow stayed reasonable until I was ready to replace it, instead of becoming agonizingly slow.
