I purchased the vacuum at a local store, and can either get filters and bags there, or on line. No problem! I went on a cruise to Bermuda from NY 2 years ago and I saw the ship cleaning crew using the exact same vacuum. It is really light weight, never ever clogs and is powerful, and will not tear up rugs or hurt utility cords when you clean over them. I had a RICCAR for 12 years, prior to the Kenmore, and thought it was the best vacuum, but this beats even the RICCAR.
