On the counter it looks great. The silver and black style extends to the very thick and comfortable handle on the coffee pot. It comes with a golden reusable filter so you don't have to buy paper filters, which is great. There is a small charcoal water filter you place in the reservoir and can replace when necessary (the digital screen actually tells you when it needs to be replaced. I don't know if there is a sensor or it's timed.) Setting up the clock and timer was exceedingly easy as well. I also liked that there are two coffee strength settings (a button on the front). Functionally, it's what you expect: pour in the top, place ground in the top, then brew (timed or live). There are a couple small things that I believe hold it back. Not perfect but very good; mostly positives but a few negatives as well. This is a good coffee pot (so far). We've tried it out for the past week and it comes with mostly positives and a few negatives. Positives: * Coffee is good. This is the gold standard for coffee pots, right? They have to brew a good cup of coffee. This one excels. Coffee has a great taste. We brew it on regular and it's fine. * Coffee is hot. Coffee is a good temperature. * Water level indicator. It has a water level indicator you can see from the outside. Our old one doesn't. So if you're using anything other than a measured pot to pour the water in, this is very, very handy. * Auto features are nice. Not unique, but nice. * Countdown clock. Now this is cool. It counts down from 60 minutes to let you know how long you're coffee has been sitting. One of the negatives... |
