It would appear that most if not all of the reviewers here have GE refrigerators that are out of warranty. So do not let that discourage you, as that did not matter in our case nor with others. Additionally, you may have to hang up with a representative that is not helpful and call back again in hope of getting someone more responsive to your issue. This seems to be a big problem with these refrigerators....it only makes sense for GE to do some damage control by working with their consumers since a happy customer is potentially a repeat customer (and this part probably costs GE only 20 cents to make).
